Meet Our Team

Our practice is a family affair.  Begun by Dr. Anthony P. Culotta in 1948, the practice became a father-daughter business in 1982.  We pride ourselves in treating our patients just like that: family.  Please take a moment to meet ours.

Margaret Culotta-Norton, DDS, PC

Dr. Culotta-Norton graduated from Merrimack College with a BA in Biology in 1975 and earned her D.D.S. from Georgetown University in 1979 with distinction.  A reciepient of a United States Naval Scholarship, Dr. Culotta-Norton served in the Naval reserve as a dentist before joining her father's practice in 1982.  Some of her professional accomplishments and affiliations include:

  • Washingtonian and Checkbook Magazines Top Dentist Award.
  • Past President of the DC Dental Society 
  • General Chairman of The Nation's Capitol Dental Meeting.
  • Inagural Chairman of Give Kids a Smile community service initiative.
  • DC Dental Society Board of Directors
  • American Dental Association
  • Academy of General Dentistry
  • International College of Dentists, Deputy Regent
  • American College of Dentists, Metropolitan Section Board Member
  • Past President of The Greater Academy of Women Dentists.

Dr. Culotta-Norton currently resides in Kensington, MD with her husband of 29 years and is the proud mother three grown children--two boys and girl- who work in the area as a high school teacher, a medical assistant, and a college senior respectively.  She enjoys reading, walking her dog, the beach, and being active in her neighbrohood communtiy..

Anthony P. Culotta-Founder, DDS (retired)

Dr. Anthony P. Culotta graduated from Georgetown University's School of Dentistry in 1945 before beginning the practice that would become a family tradition in 1948.  For over 60 years, Dr. Culotta set a standard of excellence in the dental field.  Some of his more notable accomplishments and affiliations include:

  • Professor of Dentistry at Georgetown Univeristy
  • President of the DC Dental Society
  • Contributor for an upcoming book on the history of the United State's Navy Dental Corps.
  • International College of Dentists, District IV Regent 
  • Captain, United States Navy
  • Academy of General Dentistry, President
  • DC Dental Society Awards

Dr. Culotta currently lives in retirement in Northwest, DC close to two of his four children and seven of eight grandchildren.  In addition to his daughter, Dr. Margaret Culotta-Norton, he has a brother and a son-in-law who are also dentists.
